Try to enable Legacy Boot.
Try to enable Legacy Boot.
I have tried. There is no option in my BIOS for Legacy Boot. Pure UEFI BIOS Aptio V with very little settings.
Thank you for looking into this. I did search everything in my BIOS. There seems the vendor disabled the CSM and Legacy Boot for my PC. I have even tried to enable hidden options with UBU bios disassembly tool but no success as my BIOS is signed and any modification results in a brick. I have SPI programmer and have restored my working BIOS. Question - there is now way Lilu or WEG to patch my framebuffer for non Legacy Boot machines? Secure Boot is disabled
here is the Datasheet for my machine - https://sp.ts.fujitsu.com/dmsp/Publications/public/ds-ESPRIMO-G558.pdf and please see the text from page 3 - Support for Compatibility Support Module (CSM) is no longer possible on systems with 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i technology
Let's wait for @vit9696 response. Maybe he advice something.
Hi, problem solved. I have managed to enable CSM boot after all. It was conditional to other hidden options in my BIOS.
for references. User setup_var method and enable option in the following order: 0xD75 = 0x0 Unknown option acts like condition to enable CSM 0x11E2 = 0x1 CSM Support 0xE72 =0x1 CSM Configuration 0xE71 = 0x0 Boot option filter 0x0 -> UEFI & Legacy
Uploaded my ifrextract output.
Thank you all. I'll close the issue as is not a defect
Regards Chris
Hey Chris, @invictus737 I´m having the same problem - I need to activate CSM on my 558. I was wondering if you could share your flash file - so I do not have to start from scratch.
Thanks and regards, M*
Hi Selig22,
don't touch the flash. You will brick the PC. I manage to activate CSM with nvram options and settings. I'll look for the old commands but has been a while

Yes, but I do not understand where to put it - could you explain? Or send a link. What is the setup_var method?
Thanks, M*

Hello! I'm asking for your advice/help. I tried to unlock the BIOS following your instructions, but I bricked my computer. Unfortunately, I didn't have a programmer, so I don't have a backup copy of the original BIOS before my intervention. The screen is black, but the fan is running. I can't find any information about the G558. Perhaps you could suggest how I might restore the PC to working condition. Thank you in advance for your response and time.
Hi, config - Fujitsu Esprimo G558, Catalina 10.15.3, weg+lilu, i3-9100 UHD630 0x3e91 Ultrawide 3440x1440 connected over DP and kernel panic for my machine. With or without framebuffer patch. Please help debug this KP.
Thank you!
