after configuring the plugin to use XV, when no XV present, the settings menu does not appear on right click

What steps will reproduce the problem?

- install gecko-mediaplayer
- think that you can use xv, and set the output to xv
- video won't play, because you have no xv -- and, you right click no longer 
brings up preferences

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

- I should be able to at least revert my settings -- I can't even find them!  
Are they in gconf?!  Why not just a flat file? :(

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Firefox 18, on Debian Wheezy, V1.06 of gecko-mediaplayer

Please provide any additional information below.

How can I, at a bare minimum, delete the existing preferences?

Open gnome-mplayer and change the settings there. Settings can be in one of 
three places depending on how the code was compiled.

1. In a flat file in .config/gnome-mplayer/gnome-mplayer.conf
2. In gconf under /apps/gnome-mplayer
3. In dconf under /apps/gnome-mplayer
