Troll not breaking down to cobble when using pickaxe #913

Ice and Fire trolls that have been exposed to sun should be able to be broken - every time I attempt to break one, it instead turns into a large floating hammer. Next time I load in, they're always right back where they were. A few months back they were breaking down as expected. Our base area on the server is now surrounded by frozen trolls and it's getting a little...ridiculous. hammers

It's likely because you're not using a vanilla pickaxe, I had the same issue with my obsidian AIOT. Keep a vanilla pickaxe in your backpack handy and it shouldn't pose a problem for now. And if the weapon persists wack that too.

Oof. I hate that answer, but I'll try it out. All my stuff is Tinkers, so that could be it. I've definitely tried hitting the weapons after the fact, but again only with a Tinkers pickaxe. Thank you for the input!
