+1 on this.
As stated above. I agree completely. Would even +10 this one.
We @resoluut definitely would like to see some improvement on the color picker in Fireworks as soon as possible. We use the HSB panel a lot and it doesn't work correctly. When you fill in the numbers and check back, the numbers have been changed. Color nuances are not possible this way. We still have to use Photoshop for exact color picking / correction.

Problem Description This is a huge problem on Mac. When you use the system's color window on Mac (you activate by clicking the little color wheel in the bottom right corner in the color pop-up) the color output is inconsistent. For example, when you use the system's color picker (not Fw's!) to copy the fill color of another object and press ok, the color will be converted somehow.
What it should do instead Return the color value you actually select.
Steps to reproduce
This does not only happen when using the magnifying glass. Also when you use the 'HSB sliders' (second tab) this inconsistency thing is going on. This will only happen if one of the sliders is updated. So when the brightness is at '58%' and you slide the slider BUT put it back to '58%' the outcome should remain the same. Still, after you press 'Ok' you see the color gets slightly changed and when you open up the color window again the value was changed as well (in my case it dropped to '50%'). This makes the whole color window unusable.
Your workaround There is a long post about a possible workaround on the Adobe Community Forums: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4453973 It looks like it has something to do with color profiles. The problem is not that simple too solve for the average user and I haven't tried it myself.
