Animation of carosel style list differs between left and right swipe

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a horizontal list with a 'center' fixed selection
2. View in simulator, swipe to the left, then swipe to the right

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The rightward swipe has a gradual velocity effect until it stops.  The leftward 
swipe stops pretty abruptly.   Can be seen in the Tipster demo as well.  
Verified on simulator and android.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.1 build 20120315 on Ubuntu 11.10

I think this issue dates back to LWUIT, I think I saw it too.
