Register * is corrupted while creating link with Enter on visually selected text #332

What steps will reproduce the problem?
0. Copy ExampleText into * register. (select it and "*y)
1. Write the text: New Link
2. Visually select it with 'v'
3. Press Enter to create link
4. check * register with ':reg *' command

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
ExampleText should be in *, but there is New Link

It looks like linux vim X11 works this way -- once selected buffer * is filled 
with selected text.
