SayMyName doesn't honor silence period of K-9 #131

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Set K-9 to remain silent between now and a time sufficiently in the future
2. Send yourself an e-mail
3. SayMyName will speak up

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect SayMyName to honor the times set in K-9, so I can receive urgent phone
calls no matter what time it is, but won't wake up due to some spam e-mail that
escaped my filter.

What version of the product are you using?
SayMyName Dessert 2.5.4.6

Please provide any additional information below.

Hello,

I can't fix that, sorry. K9Mail doesn't tell me when it's in silent mode...

Sorry
Tom

A workaround would be adding a "silent mode" configuration for SayMyName...
while it would require the user to set the start and end time twice - once in
K-9 and once in SayMyName - it would allow the user to "gag" SayMyName at night
(please make it configurable so it will still announce incoming calls and/or
text messages).

It's on my ToDo-list, but I'm not sure when / wether I'll add it, sorry.

Thanks for your suggestion anyway! :)

Have a great day
Tom
