autoOrient does the opposite of what the docs describe? #830

Based on the docs, it seems like autoOrient will make it apply the EXIF rotation information. My experience is the opposite, it seems like by default the EXIF rotation is applied, and with autoOrient, it is not. Can anyone confirm? example attached.
