Mono / MonoTouch port?

There is really a need for such a library for C# developers in the iPhone/iPad 
environment. A MonoTouch version of the library should be awesome.

Provide any references/links to publications/algorithms/etc. which could
help in development ...

Some work to support Mono was done a while ago and you can find that there are 
Mono project files exist for some libraries of the framework (not for all of 
them). You can find those project files in SVN. However for MonoTouch there was 
nothing done yet ...

If community needs it so much, they may help and donate iPhone/iPad to the 
project :) The thing is that people also want Windows Phone 7 support, support 
of different cameras, etc. However it is hard to buy all the equipment which 
community wants to support ...

But the idea is interesting ...
