Automatically pick working COM port #31

I'm sometimes experiecing going into Grid Control and seeing that it has no COM port selected. When I select the only one available, it works fine.

Would it be possible to automatically select a COM port where theres working communication, to avoid suddenly being without proper fan cooling?

Hi, thanks for your report. Just for clarification, is the problem that Grid Control drops the current selected COM port after a while (when it's been running) or is the problem at startup of the application?

@akej74 I'm honestly not sure. I try keeping an eye on it. It MIGHT be after standby. It's a shit bug report I know :-/ ... there's no log, is there?

Anyway, I just checked now, and it was disconnected from COM3 port again. There's only the one port and it doesn't complain at any time, when I select it.
