One thing I would find useful, was when the ’nearest neighbor viewer/explorer’ provides the image it would also provide the data it used to calculate the distances, such as in an excel file - just those data relevant to the phenotype relationships you’ve asked it to show.
The ’nearest neighbor viewer/explorer’ gets this data from the ’nearest neighbor’ Excel file however this would be cumbersome to parse for the relevant data.
Suggested columns for the export data: Sample Name, all of the Phenotype xxx columns, Cell X Position and Cell Y Position for both cells, the relevant Distance to column, and Distance to tissue category edge, if available.
Add a "Save data with image" checkbox. Save the data file when the image is saved and the checkbox is checked.
