Il recommend https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/camera/first-person-view-3-167950 It does exactly what the FPS Custom pass is supposed to do but it seems to be working better, at least there is a description on how it works and its easy to work with. Could have saved me 8h of debugging.
