Can Alexa Smart Home Lambda skill response with custom so far? #193

I want to implement a function that turn on/off my iot device(done). And i want to make it more logical. For example,if the device already accepted the "TURN ON" command and response correctly.Then,i make a request to open device again，can Alexa Smart Home Lambda skill response with custom like "Operation Failed"?

I have read https://developer.amazon.com/en-US/docs/alexa/device-apis/alexa-errorresponse.html ,but can't be clear that whether an ability to make customized response. I find this on stack overflow: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/49819419/alexa-smart-home-response-with-custom-message .It's reply is "NOT SUPPORT",but it replied in 2018.
