SIP provider and international prefix "+" instead of "00" #99

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. SIP provider is Globe7
2. when using the HTC dialer, I can select SIP or GSM
3. when selecting SIP, my rovider says the phone number is not valid or
something like this.

All the numbers in my contact book are saved with prefix "+" instead of "00"
followed by international prefix. If I use the CsipSimple dialer with "+" at
the beginning of the number, I have the same problem. If I use "00", it works.
My question is: is it possible to have an option to modify the phone number
automatically to begin by "00" instead of "+", or do I have to change all my
contacts in the phonebook?

Except this problem, this is the best SIP application I ever tried.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
CSipSimple 0.00-12 on HTC Desire 2.1, build 1.21.405.2

There is a planned feature that should solve this kind of issue.
Also include PBX prefix for outbound calls.
So merged with issue #41.
It will provide a way to solve this particular issue by rewriting phones calls
starting by + but also a more powerful rewriting engine to solve many other use
case.

Btw, thanks for your suggestion, it adds a new use case for this rewriting
engine :).
I really have to implement it !
