Hi!

I stumbled upon the first iteration of your midi looper project and i have to say it's quite amazing, great job!

I saw this new version that seems to be a direct improvement of the original having also display support along with other goodies.

is it possible to have some schematics and some documentation to try and build one?

Or is this still a WIP and needs to be refined before having it officialli released?

Thank you in advance and keep up the good work!

Hi, thanks for your interest.

This is still a bit WIP right now. But it is on the top of my todo list.

Keep in touch !

Subscribing to this issue... Super interested! I am starting my build of V1 and have a new feature I'm working on adding - decay knobs, so with each repeat, the looper can slowly "forget" the loop until that track's memory is cleared. Essentially, it will scale down the velocity until it hits zero, then remove the note. Need more analog inputs to make this happen, so I'm planning on moving the switches to a 74HC165 (Input Shift Register) and LEDs to a 74HC595 (Output Shift Register), freeing up a bunch of analog inputs for more pots. Keep up the great work!!!

I'm working on perfecting a CNC/laser engraver PCB manufacturing method for super short runs of PCBs, if you want me to include your board as one I'm working on (figuring out the quirks / what need to be done to be effective / how to get 95% of the quality of a fab house) I'll happily throw the information gleaned and customized PCB design for desktop CNC let me know once you have the basic PCB designed and we can talk. Could be super cool, I'm planning on open sourcing the workflow so devs can do small "developer editions" of their hardware for core fans. Might offer to do small runs myself for other devs, not sure on that one though. The cost and quality of fab houses can't be matched, but with CNC-aided black solder mask etching and proper silk screening plus gold electroplating they'll look 95% as good as fabs (and the reason I did it is because having to wait 1 week + and order a handful of boards every time a revision is required is a nightmare).
