It would be great to have a new CRAN release of distributions3 (presumably version 0.2.1) so that other packages can build on it more easily. I'm working myself on updates for topmodels, crch, and countreg that will require this version and which should also go to CRAN in the no-so-distant future.
So to prepare for this I did the following:
Bumped the version to 0.2.1 in the DESCRIPTION plus some minor improvements.
Documented all changes since 0.2.0 in the NEWS.md.
Omitted the comment that distributions3 is not actively developed in the README.Rmd/md because I think we have been quite active over the last year :nerd_face:
