Old color theme does not work in emacs 24 #303

When I load color-theme-solarized.el, I got 'Symbol's function definition is void: plist-to-alist'. Then I got latest color-theme.el. Now no errors shown. But the color is very weird. For example, with dark theme, the background is deep blue.
