Error of suffix gap in pdf file #334

Dear Mr. Altmany, The export_fig is showing the higher gap between the words in its suffix when exporting into pdf format. For example, when I am writing SO2 (2 is in the suffix of SO2) or NO2 (2 is in the suffix of NO2) it is showing the higher gap between the SO/NO and its suffix 2. There must be no gap between the words and their suffix. Please see the attached file.

I cannot reproduce this problem on my end using the latest version of export_fig on GitHub. Please provide a simple Matlab code snippet that reproduces the issue as well as information about your platform: Operating system, Matlab release, Ghostscript version, and anything else that you think might be relevant.
