again, problems with mageimage ext installation. Can we sort this out? Tests 
seem unreliable when I can't even install the ext on my own.

Anatoly, see if you can fix this, if not, please install 1.8.4.0alpha1 release 
by hand or whatever.

Installation works OK, tested it on my local M. instance.
Sorry, I misprinted release number, it's 1.8.4.0alpha31.

Go to Magento Connect (m-c), fill extension key field, press Install

You will see a table of extension. First raw will looks like:

community web_to_print_store_incl_theme 1.8.4.0alpha31 (alpha) Ready to upgrade

Press Proceed and the extension will be updated

Tested on /mageimage/
web_to_print_store_incl_theme   1.8.4.0alpha31 (alpha)
in all major browsers.

Problem is not resolved. If I already have images in my library, I get the 
correct behavior. But not as a first time customer landing on the page.
Replication instructions:
- Clear all cookies for mageimage
- navigate to 
http://ec2-174-129-95-130.compute-1.amazonaws.com/mageimage/index.php/test-02/te
mplate.html
- Click on one of the images in the small preview to reach the in-preview 
editor.
- The only tab available for you should be Upload
- Upload one (or a few) images in the field and Save
- Click on the other image in the opposite corner
- The default selected tab is Upload. Not "My images"
