document is empty

Mac or iPhone/Touch

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open the .chm file

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The Content of the book is expected and i see 
"This Page contains the following errors:
error on line 1 at column 1:  Document is empty
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Version 1.4.2 (79f1c63)
on mac OS X 10.5.8

Please provide any additional information below.

i know the fils is ok because i can open it on a windows pc via the navigator 
and i can see all the content.

It happens with some files and it works fine with others.
