Attribution API reporting limits/ discrepancy with onsite downloaded reports #222

Open marshalls-landblue opened 6 months ago

Describe the bug Performance reports requested from Attribution API are missing rows for ad groups that exist in both the reports downloaded from https://advertising.amazon.com/reports, and in the advertising console.

We have hundreds of thousands of ad groups, I would like to know if there are limits on amount of items that can be returned via the Attribution API. And also why would these limits differ from how many ad groups/ campaigns can be created?

Thank you for looking into this-

for additional context - this issue began 14/02/2024 and around 85% of the items returned in Performance report from the Attribution API Reports Resource at creativeId level are showing creativeId = null and are also showing no data for any of the KPI fields, even though the onsite reports still show them with data and clearly more than 10 clicks data threshold per record

I do not see anything in the documentation regarding this, so any insight would be greatly appreciated :)

Thank you for submitting this issue, @marshalls-landblue , and for the additional context. We will contact the attribution team to try to get to the bottom of this and update the documentation if appropriate.

In the meantime, we recommend also submitting this information on a ticket to the API service desk if you have not already done so. (See Support.) The support team may be able to more quickly find a solution while we determine whether documentation changes are needed.

Thank you for your response @jerirose . I have opened a request with the API service desk, and am still awaiting an update from them. Do you have any update or insight from the attribution team regarding this?

Thanks again!
