Feature Request - product tour component #15109

Open sfabriece opened 5 years ago

Please describe the feature you would like to request.

A comprehensive product tour component/library to guide users.

What is the use-case or motivation for this proposal?

There aren't any solutions that are flexible enough for the moment.

Is there anything else we should know?

existing solutions:

free/open-source http://bootstraptour.com/ http://benmarch.github.io/angular-ui-tour/#/docs https://angular-ui.github.io/ui-tour/demo/demo.html https://github.com/NMilicic/ngx-bootstrap-product-tour https://github.com/isaacplmann/ngx-tour https://github.com/tnicola/ngx-joyride

We have a someone inside Google who plans to contribute a feature highlight implementation, but no ETA on that.

I'll be patiently waiting then

Just a heads up that we kicked off a community voting process for your feature request. There are 20 days until the voting process ends.

Find more details about Angular's feature request process in our documentation.

Thank you for submitting your feature request! Looks like during the polling process it didn't collect a sufficient number of votes to move to the next stage.

We want to keep Angular rich and ergonomic and at the same time be mindful about its scope and learning journey. If you think your request could live outside Angular's scope, we'd encourage you to collaborate with the community on publishing it as an open source package.

You can find more details about the feature request process in our documentation.

I'd vote for this feature if it opens up again. I believe this feature is getting popular nowadays.
