Hi,
Current state of the project is that I haven't moved it on. Sadly work and family life have prevented from spending any time on this.
I have 2 CDJ1000 MK3 that I bought for a good price from eBay some time ago and all the parts in the BOM that Adrei shared but apart from that I have had very little time to spend on this project.
I was able to compile the source code as is and deploy to the STM and it appeared to work fine.
The other issue I had was that until 2 months ago I was not a Rekordbox user. Now that I am I may have time to look into reviving this more.
It would be great if you could think about adding some of the features most asked for e.g. the USB support that you mentioned.
You should be able to make a start and compile the code and start implementing the new features. If you need any more information then please let me know and I will make sure I monitor this repo a bit more closely than I have been.
Thank you for your interest and support in this project.
Hi! I have been following this project for quite some time and I really applaud all the work you, djgreeb and others poured in to this!
I instantly bought a pair of cdj1000 mk3s when I heard of this project, but I'm still waiting for USB support before I start the modification.
I am happy to help (and with me a lot others) to further develop this amazing project. I have some decent C knowledge, but the STM32 environment is still new to me. But I am a quick learner ;)
Can you share with us the current status of the project and the obstacles / challenges you've encountered?
I think for example, one of the most requested features is proper USB support. From what I have found there is a good USB host library available for STM32. What are the challenges you are facing implementing this feature?
If you are still willing to work on this project would it be an idea to create a publicly available project board with features, their development status and possible issues? So we as the community can collectively work on this project to fully unlock it's amazing potential :)
