stays on load rom screen

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Click on load rom
2. Click on the desired rom and nothing happens
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The rom should load and click on individual file...it just stays on the screen 
with all the other roms.  When I click on the back button it goes back to home 
screen and says 'no rom selected'

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Snes droid 1.4.1.   Double play 2.3.4

Please provide any additional information below.

Now I click on the .smc file and it says the rom loads but its just a black 
screen...but I see the D pad and all the buttons...but no game is actually 
loaded
