3 weeks ago Yes, unfortunately the interactive map only currently works for sovereign states (and not quite all of them — for the smallest ones the map resolution is insufficient to provide a good appearance at the required zoom level).
This is mentioned in the discussion post in the "shortcomings" section, though maybe should be made more prominent? (I've made the reference to the "Current shortcomings" section more explicit in the lead, for now.)
The reason for the lack of non-sovereign states is that currently the implementation makes all land area belong to only one region (for clicking recognition), which means that dependent territories are "bundled" with the top-level country.
Hello, I'm using the experimental version [ZH_TW], and just tried out the interactive map. However, the map only shows the fixed map of the correct answer instead of showing the animation like discussions 649.
Is there anything I should be aware of? here's some screenshots
