add compass reading to the statistics #78

Adding the compass reading to the statistics would be great as it could be
used to orientate picture on a map. This can be very useful sometime almost
as useful as the position.

Regards

PS: When adding this function it should be clear whether the reading is
relative to magnetic north or geographic north.

MyTracks already records the compass information. How do you imagine it showing
in the statistics, though?

I'm don't really understand it this request. The stats show information about
how the phone moved through space. The compass is the orientation of the phone
at one particular moment, that seems totally unrelated.

If you wish to clarify the bug, reopen and explain what you wanted.

Hi,
How do you reopen issue?

the phone moves but it is not related to the direction it faces, especially
when you are standing still, the phone might report a movment due to errors in
gps location.
when you take a photo 99 % of the time the direction of he phone computed from
the track is different from what the phone was really facing. You cannot
orientate the photos you take.
If we could have the phone compass reading logged with each point of he track,
then it would be easy to position AND orientate the photos, even those taken
with a proper camera since the phone in your pocket always faces the same
direction as you and hence your camera.
Check geosetter software that allow ro orientate picture it is awsome
regards
Eric
