Hi @dswanepoel , thank you very much for hosting the software hdf5-jpegls-filter! I also enjoyed reading your publication at http://dx.doi.org/10.1080/17538947.2017.1301580

I would like to contribute to the project by modernizing the build steps, but first I would like to determine what software license you use. May I suggest the MIT license attributed to your name?

For your reference, here's draft of the license content: https://github.com/antonysigma/jpegls-hdf-filter/pull/2

In addition, do you recall how you submitted / registered your filter on the HDF5 Group back then?

I have been toying around the so-called "controlled lossy" option of the JpegLS. The primary use case is to compress geo-altitude map data, in which a certain upper bound error (e.g. +/-10 meter) is permitted during the permission.

I am wondering whom in the HDF5 Group I should contact first, if I were to register a v2.0 of the filter with controlled lossy option.
