Playing audio/video from filesystem/upload #740

I'm not actually sure whether if http://apostrophecms.org/docs/modules/apostrophe-video-widgets/index.html is the right module to do this. But what module is appropriate to extend to support playing audio/video (if there are any)?

Alternatively, would creating a https://howlerjs.com (or any good media library) module be a good forward strategy?

Hi Levin,

Apostrophe 2.x has a built in video widget as you have already found. What problem are you having with it?

Are you trying to handle directly serving audio and video files from your own server? Our standard module avoids this because of the complexity, the hosting costs, and the fact that youtube and vimeo embeds work so well and support all devices.
