Unfortunately, I was not able to use your dashboard function, as well.

Would like to see an opportunity to personalize it more. It seems rather dull
and
boring. Put a picture, or customize the colors or theme. Is there a difference
between your dashboard and profile (i.e. page when you click on your username)?
That
might need some explaining.

It would be useful if there were options for each individual user to customize
there
own dashboard. A section of the dashboard could be used to hold your favorite
links
to open source material, similar the links you can find in the learning center

This is where I was supposed to post a picture, but instead I checked my
dashboard.
When I did that, I noticed that Evelyn was online, because it took me to her
homepage. When I tried to click on my page, it kept directing me to Evelyn's. I
noticed that she was able to get a picture up even though I was not. Of the
dashboard
selections, however, I would like to see a place to write more facts about
yourself,
a place to upload pictures, and a way to communicate with other members. I
noticed
that there was a way to comment of a video via the dashboard, but that just
sent me
to another page that said "I was not authorized to use this page."

The dashboard doesn't really appeal to me. It may be because it looks very
plain and
not-user-friendly. I think if it had an interface similar to tumblr, I would
like it
more. I really like that it has the blog feature though. I know it might be
difficult, but it would be cool if there was an edit function within the site
ala
jumpcut.

5) Dashboard Observations:
I was able to look around in the dashboard and everything here seems to be
working
good. In the user account section, there seems to be a large amount of options
to ad
information which is good, though everything seems to be text fields. Having
areas to
ad links, images, and videos would be a good addition.
The forums area in the dashboard was a little confusing. Does each user have
their
own forum? Because when I initially clicked “forums” it just refreshed.
Then when I
clicked “start a new thread”, I was taken to the same interface as the blog
post
page. The portfolio was also confusing. The only working link just took me to
the
Internet Archive log-in page. I think these dashboard options need so sort of
explanation on what they’re for and how to use them.

Marked as wontfix until we have a chance to review them, so that new issues
are shown clearly.
