I tried posting something in my Blog and encountered this when I typed in the
tags:

Personally, though, I *love* the idea of suggested tags. Please keep it.
There's this "More information about formatting options" guide a little lower
in the
post-something-in-your-blog page. It would be great if it shows up in a pop-up
or a
new tab rather than the same tab, so it doesn't interfere with the blogging
experience.
This is the result: http://beta.ourmedia.org/blogs/evelynd
After posting an entry and navigating away (e.g. back to HOME or FORUMS), I had
no
idea how to access my blog again. Dashboard only provides me with a link to
post a
new post. I'm not sure whether I missed the link or it's just not there. If it
wasn't
there, perhaps provide that option or url (
http://beta.ourmedia.org/blogs/evelynd )
in the Dashboard and user portfolio for easy access?
I tried to post a comment to see if the html works. It's put in queue.

this is essentially the same issue as 'create channel item' - the UI needs to
reworked and clearer instruction

What is the purpose of the blog? Is it meant to be self contained in the users
profile and any member channels (in which they have permission to post a blog)?
We
don't really want a random repository for spam, do we?

* Provide users a clear idea of why they would want submit a blog entry and a
visible
set of instructions and links to resources directly on the page.
* Require the user to select a topic and add tags for subtopics and location (if
applicable).
* Give them the ability to add to relevant channels as well as external sites.
* Possibly a simple WYSIWYG editor for entering the body content.
* Provide an easy way to add relevant media.
We should not have a central 'blog' area and only recommended content should
appear
on any main landing pages or sections.
More ideas/examples being hashed out here:

Marked as wontfix until we have a chance to review them, so that new issues
are shown clearly.
