User profile input format

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Causes. "Describe and link to your favorite causes." html or plain text?
Would an auto-html tool (like the ones they use in blogger) be useful?
I propose the same thing for Short Biography, Contact Info, and
Skills/Services. Or simply specify whether it's html or plain text. If you
decide to use an auto-html tool, perhaps set it so the tool would only
appear if we try to type something in the box to keep the appearance tidy?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Not sure if we want some sort of WYSIWYG editor 
(http://drupal.org/project/tinymce);
if anything, we could provide an autocomplete for text fields in addition to 
detailed
instructions.
