Few images can be good. On Vray Frame Buffer (the Vray render view) the top left combo box show the list of current AOV available to show
Guerilla: On the bottom left of the render view (ID aov here):
If you choose the A/B comparison mode, the second AOV can be selected on the bottom right.
The good thing in both of them is you can see a specific AOV while rendering. :)
This is exactly what we need, it doesnt have to be anything clever, just the ability to view an aov as it renders, preferably also in interactive mode

to elaborate this would mean a drop down menu that shows all aov's for an active frame and lets you switch your view between aov's
