Somehow I forgot to post the User Experience Research Studies 2023 (Research) Results on Github. I am posting them now.

@all_readers_of_this_issue, we welcome you to post your feedback to us for CEA as a research tool below. Thank you!

Time: 31 Oct 2023
CEA version: 3.34.2

Research Group: Researchers from [A/S Research Group](https://systems.arch.ethz.ch/) at ETH Zurich (most of them had UBEM experience; mostly no CEA background)

Task: Fresh CEA users were asked to create a CEA visualisation dashboard using an exisiting pre-run CEA Scenario with the CEA on Web (undergoing internal testing and not open to public yet).
Feedback was collected from the users on if the CEA visualisation served their needs and how to imporve.

Feedback collected:

1. What are the sources of the archetypes?
2. Possible to link to SNS account and share results?
3. Can CEA have a progress bar or guide to know the workflow?
4. Can CEA have an example study integrated?
5. Possible to include contact info for plugin?
6. A link to the CEA forum to be integrated in the CEA Dashboard?
7. A short-pitched video will be appreciated.
8. Where are the results anyway? After running script, it seems nothing happened.
9. Possible to change the layout of dashboard?
10. Would be great to have 3D Visualizations.
11. Would be great to have an overview of the scenario, e.g., no of buildings, GFA, FAR, etc...
12. No mouse cursor on mobile phone
13. Would be better to be able to go into individul plot
14. Generate a report - standardized report
15. Would be great to have group work control.

I see cool

14. reports. but there you need to know how a report in real practice looks like (in consultancy). Something different will be in research which is pretty much freestyle.

The rest I do not see as a prio in my opinion but nice to have. #10 just be careful, 3D visuals and colors are cool for marketing but seriously very misleading in real practice. Reason: one cannot distinguish the right value out of a heatmap at all times. It pretty much just shows what you want to show if you steer the color shades. Betters is to see simple graphs and tabular data to show exactly what is happening.

Even at the city scale I see more and more work in consultancy avoiding such Heatmaps. It is just misleading pretty much all the time. and in 3D even worse.

But if any and needs to be done for the sake of showing a bit off :-D then the building shall show the real value inmediately on hover, so it is less misleading. But again, once somebody does a screeenshot and includes a leyend. there you go, misleading info (cool for marketing :)).
