Regarding Coffeescript #464

Just wanted to ask - why the Coffeescript option was removed? Is there anything we need to know, before considering adding the support for Coffeescript?

This was done so long ago that I am not absolutely certain of the reason. I remember adding it because I thought it would be easier than javascript for beginners and that coffeescript seemed to be becoming more popular. I originally wrote tutorials for both Python and Javascript. I was thinking that I should also wrote one for coffeescript. However, this seemed like too much work and, as I never heard of anyone one using coffeescript on this site, I decided to drop it to make my life simpler. After all, excluding translations for languages other than English and French, I wrote 99% of the code.

If you want to contribute and add support for coffeescript, please feel free to do so. I have not been very active in programming for the past two years or so, but plan to resume as I will retire in July and will have more time to get back into my programming hobby.

Thanks for a quick answer! I wanted to add CoffeeScript because my kid comes from a codemonkey.com background. They have hundreds of programming tasks for kids in CoffeeScript, and it's actually good for teaching kids. So, if there is nothing fundamentally wrong with CoffeeScript - I'll try to do it. I also completely translated Reeborg to Lithuanian, including Lithuanian keywords, and translated Dan Schellenberg's tasks. Not sure how to contribute ATM, but I'll figure it out :) It's nice you'll retire - it is actually a fantastic project ;)

You can just email me the translation files you have and I'll incorporate them.
