Blog & Discussions - Hide Dates Number #354

We need to HIDE "Dates number" from Blog & Discussion Posts Thumbnail as well as Main page (see image below)....for now...as it is creating little negative impact when we are not uploading regular content... We will Unhide it later on when needed

ONE SUGGESSION IF POSSIBLE EASILY

to keep the format/ UI intact ,we can show "No. of Views" in place of "Date Number"

Can't do that. Let it create negative effect. It's more important to put content on timeline for users to know how relevant it is today. It is a bad practice to not put dates. In order to not have negative effect, we shud be adding content.

Yup i know that....but got this suggestions from Deepali and Suyog and i think right now we should defend our image first removing any negative approach and then laterone we can come to this good practice...

Not a good idea to remove the dates.. Instead, add a article and discussion every week... just one each.

Okkz...So can we do one thing...Instead of Showing "98 days ago" can we show the date directly like "12th August, 2015" (the date of creation) that will atleast reduce the negative feeling to some extent

Hey ...i am getting to many suggestions to hide dates for now....even in my yesterdays meeting ..UX guy says hide everything that creates negative impact.....even if the post is 10-20 days old and user get that info before reading that...then it act as a turn off

So i think we need to hide the dates for now from BLOGS & DISCUSSIONS

I stop reading the blogs feom sites that don't show publish dates. Google will rank us bad. If data is outdated then telling the users is the right thing to do. Users are not here for blog or discussion. They'll come for campsites trips and gears.. We need to engage them so they start using blogs and discussions. Not the other way around

Agreed with all the points. But you are talking about the future, i am talking about next 1-2 month we need to see our situation as well, i am talking about hiding it for sometime not removing it until things comes on track (which will come soon). One thing is... too many suggestions regarding the same thing can't be wrong. means it is seriously creating negative effect for now.

Where all the dates are to be hidden from.. List them here.. I'll do all of them..
