As part of testing the dune-artdaq-20180722 software area today, I tried to make some progress on this issue, too.

At the moment, Run Configuration ToyComponent_EBwriting00013 uses the 35-ton-like model for EventBuilders. This means that the bulk of the EB configuration parameters are stored in common_code/eventbuilder_standard.fcl, and each of the N individual EB files simply has an include and a selection of the desired "daq" and "art" blocks.

Patrick Tsang and I have created the following configurations with improved EventBuilder config files (including from an eventbuilder_standard.fcl) and improved including of Routing information for the RCEs. These are the following:
