NASTY! - Preview position is way off when editing long documents #459 #641

It' a very nasty point that edit and preview loose sync in long documents or
documents with includes, but handling in # 459 seems somewhat dead.

It's a 4.5 year old serious shortcoming, and no progress!

Set yourself in a position where you have started some long documents without having been warned, you also use includes for structuring of common parts, and the longer the documents become you waste more and more of your valuable time in finding in edit window what is shown in preview, and when edited have stupid search again how it looks in preview, and never know / ever have to recheck where in the document you are,

But switching to another program would be tedious too.

thus more and more you become ineffective and think 'better if I'd never started with this sh... ', but you are trapped.

Sorry for the harsh words, whoever thinks to use AsciidocFX: Either decide to work without preview, or to work without includes, or use another program!

Hi, please don’t create fake accounts to write a comment. I work on the issue and I hope in next release there will be a better way to handle synchronization between editor and preview

hi, thanks for caring, I don't know about any fake accounts, I feel bad opening a new issue for this, but after three months without an answer I was desperate ...

On first glance ver. 1.8.10 solves this problem ... thank you very much. :-)

After some days of work I'd say it's not 'perfect', further improvements seem possible, but for the main step to come back to a synced behavior between edit and preview I and a lot of other users should thank you on our knees! It's an absolute big and important step to come back to work on our content, rather than wasting about 50% of our time in searching where to make changes, and again searching where they take effect. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
