A random thing that might be interesting (though, I'm not sure of the utility for an actual mission) occurred to me this morning - if you could have units drive out to a location in a HEMTT (or whatever side vehicle you determine), and start building a base there (basically walking back and forth between the truck and the location of the objects to place and then spawning them).
I imagine it could work like this:
Zeus creates a base ahead of time by placing some objects. They then save the base layout using the Save/Load tools and delete the objects.
Zeus drops a 'Build Base' module and is prompted to paste the code copied in the previous step. Maybe they choose the side and number of worker units or something.
When confirmed the truck drives out to the anchor location (or somewhere close by?) and the troops get out. They then each walk back and forth between the truck and the location of an object that was saved, placing a single object every time. In this way they go through all of the saved objects.
After placing the last object they load back in the truck and RTB.
I'm not sure if this is really worth the time to do, but it's kind of interesting. Maybe flesh it out in a standalone script for an actual mission first to see if it's possible to do sensibly. Might be fun for players to either have to defend the construction of the base until completion, or attack an enemy base to prevent it from being built.... Kind of adds some time-pressure in a non-abstract way.
