The connection line is simpler and the burning speed is faster：

Hey. That flasher is known, But it needs the aditional UART connection so 6 wire instead of 3 on the simple flashing tool

For more in depth development i definitely would use the way you mentioned, but just for unbricking a device the 3 wire way is the simplest possible. No resistor needed at all then
