I wanted to install WinDirStat as a rouge process seemed to have filled up my drive C: but I didn't know where. However, the installer needed to write to drive C: even before I could choose the install path on another drive. It would be ideal if the program could run without space on drive C:, for example straight off a flash drive.
Original comment byOliver (Bitbucket: assarbad, GitHub: assarbad):
It can actually do that, but you need to unpack it onto the flash drive first. The big problem is that we had a host of "bug reports" based on the fact that our users didn't know how to deal with .zip files.
