What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run a compositing window manager(compiz, metacity)
2. Install Embedded Video 1.2(I tested on Ubuntu from the repos)
3. Paste a link of an image in pidgin chat(i.e

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected:

What I see:

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.2 on Ubuntu 10.04 with Pidgin 2.7.2devel

It behaves as needed when there is no compositing window manager
