EFS is a wonderful product. Now that the stunnel proxy has been migrated to a custom Rust binary, I'm wondering why Windows Server would be hard to support as a client:
Has native NFS support
Rust can compile to Windows and so the existing tunnel support shouldn't be complex to port
AWS CLI tools are already available on Windows and so support for the core API integrations are likely already available
Am I missing anything?
FYI, I'm currently looking at spinning up additional Linux systems to act as an interface but it does add overhead, particularly to maintain encryption end-to-end.
