[REQUEST] Civil twilight automatic switching #47

Open taprobane99 opened 2 years ago

Is is possible to add automatic switching based on "Civil Twilight" at a given latitude + longitude?

It is still light in the sky at sunset, and I find Koi switches a bit too early. Civil twilight is actually what local governments use to turn Street lighting on and off, so it makes sense.

Civil twilight is rougly 40 mins after sunset, and 40 mins before sunrise. I'm sure there's a more accurate formula for it somewhere.

Hello,

What you mean is Sunrise vs Sunset and Dusk vs Dawn.

You either Google on how to calculate or enter the Dawn/Dusk times into Koi manually.

A bit impractical to enter dawn times manually into Koi considering they change every day.

Well, you would be adjusting the time once three-four weeks. I do that on my Android phone too as the Dark theme refuses to switch automatically on sunrise/sunset with location being disabled ......

This is called OffSet (+ minutes,-minutes).
