Horrific Stuttering and Visual Errors with Quest 2. #64

I am using Virtual Desktop with my Quest 2.

When I use Open VR input but I'm not recording everything is perfectly fine.

The moment I start recording it becomes unusable; both footage and actually inheadset gameplay is extremely stuttery and has numorous visual errors like; flickering, checkerboarding, flashing black screens and eyes becoming desynced.

I have no idea if its VD, SteamVR or this plugin. But I figured I'd let you all know its a thing happening.

You might be running out of encoding capacity on your system, both OBS and VD would be encoding video at the same time.

That's my theory at least, considering it works until you press record. Depending on your GPU there are monitoring tools that displays GPU encoding performance numbers together with the rest.

That is, unless you encode on the CPU, then that might be the issue. Hard to tell without more information.

GTX 1660S here, Quest 2 - VD + OBS with this plugin and no issues. Definitely your system
