The Google Mail Application won't fully load on startup. #136

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Opening the program
2. Having Google Mail as the selected Google Application
3. Trying to view in Standard View

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see the white box of the program pull up, and the progress bar 
gradually fill until complete.  Then the program would open and I'd see my 
gmail inbox.  Instead, the progress bar stops indefinitely about nine tenths of 
the way through.  I can click 'view in HTML' and see that version of my inbox, 
but I know that the issue is not with the speed of my connection.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
The most recent version, as downloaded today (1/28/14).  On OS X 10.9.1.

Please provide any additional information below.

I have the same problem on Windows 7

Same issue on windows 7 as well.
See screenshot. The data will load if I select load basic HTML but where's the 
fun in that?
