Global Navigation - Technology For Loan Should Change to Library of Things #673

In the Global Navigation (within Polaris) under "Services," The Link, "Technology for Loan" should be changed to "Library of Things"

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to the homepage.
  2. Hover over the "Books and More" menu.
  3. Select the "Catalog" link to go to Polaris.
  4. Hover your cursor over the Services menu at the top right of the page
  5. Notice that the link for "Technology for Loan" should be changed to "Library of Things" (Compare to a page that is not within Polaris.)

Please update as soon as possible so that menu is consistent between Catalog and Website. (Screenshot of error attached) Screen-Shot-2020-01-09-at-2 36 03-PM

I believe we have the latest list of items needed in Polaris. We updated the nav previously and this did not come up. I will check.

I cant believe it, I was able to actually complete a BCPL issue.

@tmccoy529 Thanks for updating the menu. However, there have been additional changes to the Services menu since January 2020. Changes were made to the Youth and Events and Programs menus, as well. This seems like the best time to ensure all of the menus are the same. Here's the code from www.bcpl.info for the three menus that changed:

Services menu:

Left column:

  • Get a Library Card
  • Ask a Librarian
  • Borrowing
  • Meeting and Study Rooms
  • Passport Services
  • Public Computers and WiFi
  • Social Worker in the Library


    • Right column:

  • 3D Printing
  • Assistive Technology

    @jdomasky Ive gone ahead and updated all the menus to match BCPL's menus. This is ready for another look.

    @tmccoy529 The updated menus in BCPL dev are nearly perfect. I noticed only one issue: the link for "Library of Things" is using the old URL for that page and should be updated to "/books-and-more/library-of-things.html". With this correction, I recommend the menu changes for deployment to production.
