Suddenly can't log in anywhere, "User authentication method is not supported" #73

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I installed win-sshfs with success.
2. Pro a day or two, it worked as expected.
3. Application silently crashed after sleep or hybernation (not sure about the
circumstances).

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I didn't change anything after the crash, so normal mount was expected, but
since then, all attempts (different servers, accounts, reinstall, restart) end
up with the "User authentication method is not supported" error.

What version of the product are you using?

win-sshfs: 0.0.1.5
Client OS: Windows 8 64 bit
Server OS: Xubuntu, FreeBSD, some other linux also
Ssh server: tried three different servers (all have OpenSSH I believe), bug
doesn't probably happen in relation with the server

Please provide any additional information below.

I have the same issue using Win 7 64 Bit so I doubt that it is related to the
OS.

I have the same problem but only while trying to mount from a VMware ESXi 5.0.0
host. I am able to use WinSCP to access all folders on this host so SFTP works
fine.

same here with SLES 11 sp3 and german windows 7 64bit.

it seems the "authentication method not supported" is a common problem/bug.
i tried using multiple drive letters and multiple linux directories to mount.
neither "." nor "~" nor "/" worked so far using the simple "password" method. i
tested login with putty, a simple ssh client to test the user credentials ant
it worked fine. this sshfs client on the other hand throws this silly error
message.
