[V40] black screen in hdmi ouput with sound #12972

Lapto acer nitro 5 AN515-53 i5-8300H 16GB intel 630 and nvidia 1050 Ti

Issue description

I have a problem, i have batocera v40 boot very well. And show the discret graphics 1050Ti Details I have a external hardrive where i have the games. All is ok when it start, show the video in the hdmi monitor.

The informations is showed in hdmi monitor:

But the game run, the video is stop, but the sound is running. I press again alt+tab..

Sound continues, but the video on hdmi is freeze.. if i press alt+tab for several times, i notice the video start tonrunning, so i only press alt the video is running and i can play

How i can fix thisnissue with "unnamed window"? It happen with a lot of consolas emulador.

Detailed reproduction steps

And dont show anything at hdmi monitor but the sounds is ok.

Details of any attempts to fix this yourself

I tried: Press alt + tab until the video running, and press esc for quit the little window.

Also i tried s to turn off the backglasss. Andnthe "unnamed windows" appers

try v41 beta. also is it just ppsspp that is causing your problem?

I will try it, But is in all emulators.. i tried ppssp, neogeo, snes, nes, dreamcast,etc

i upated, and i cant boot again, i have this problem mount: mounting LABEL=BATOCERA on /boot_root failed: No such file or directoryWaiting for the root device LABEL=BATOCERA: Can't open blockdev

and i cant load again, inclusive with differente usb drives =(

you need to upgrade your existing build, you cannot run two parallel installs.

The original issue seemed to be related to nvidia drivers since your laptop is probably a nvidia Optimus-powered device. In my opinion, you should have edited the nvidia-driver line to change the driver rather than trying to update it (or at least before it).
