error message "soundflower.kext was installed improperly..." #65

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Booting up
2. Installing Line6 (and I think other) software
3. Not sure

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I don't know. I didn't even know I had it or what it's supposed to be
doing...or what program is installing it (message says to contact software
vendor for update - this is the only "vendor" I could find.)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I don't know. I can't find anything about it. I'm on Snow Leopard.

Please provide any additional information below.

I get the error message but have no idea if it affects anything. All my
local Mac experts just give ma blank look, as did the tech at the Apple
store.

What is it; do I need it; how do I stop the message; if I don't need it,
how to I delete smething I can't find?

It's in /Library/System/Extensions as soundflower.kext

I didn't need soundflower anymore and I just deleted it. The error stopped
appearing.

ps: It was also flashing that error on some unrelated software installers, and
occasionally on OS X updates.
