Currently, the spec contains the following text:
These opcodes SHALL be available when the accessory is in separated state. These opcodes SHALL NOT be available when the accessory is in the near-owner state.
Some accessory manufacturers may choose to implement AIS for owner connections. The second sentence of the text above should be written as a MAY NOT statement:
